RYA Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster Theory
The Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster Shorebased course is an advanced course building on the Day Skipper syllabus for more experienced skippers, which takes them up to the theory knowledge required for Coastal Skipper and Yachtmaster practical exams.
The course specifically concentrates on advanced navigation and meteorology skills. The course devotes some revision time to the basics but covers advanced navigation techniques.

Previous experience required
Knowledge of Navigation to Day Skipper level and some practical sailing or motorboat experience
Successful course outcome
At the end of the course successful students will be awarded the RYA Day Skipper Shorebased Certificate and will have sufficient knowledge to undertake the RYA Day Skipper Practical Course.

The course is held in our classroom and includes all course materials, morning and afternoon tea. Lunch is not included.
