Sailing as a crew member on a sailing vessel can be physically and mentally demanding, with close living conditions and the possibility of sleep deprivation, extreme weather conditions and sea
sickness.
Due to the unique nature of the activity and the fact that we may be away from immediate access to full medical facilities, we regret that we are unable to accept anyone who is pregnant or who is a
carrier of a communicable disease (e.g. Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C & HIV). Exceptionally, sufferers from Epilepsy or Diabetes may be considered with GP’s recommendation.
Quaystage Sail Camps and all other programmes offered by Quaystage Training Ltd are not therapeutic programmes. The environment on board is therefore not appropriate for those experiencing mental health problems, substance abuse, self-harm, or eating disorder issues.
We reserve the right to ask for a doctor’s letter at your expense, confirming your fitness to sail with us, and to exclude any person, or restrict their passage to certain voyages, if we feel that they may be at risk.
In order that you may fully enjoy your voyage without putting your health at risk, please answer the following questions honestly and as fully as possible.
